FAQ

  • Different ceramic coatings have different lifespans. While WAX IS DEAD® ULTRA is guaranteed to last at least 2 years, WAX IS DEAD® ULTIMATE is guaranteed to last for 10. However, this lifespan is dependent on the quality of the application - which is why only approved installation centres such as Fusion Detailing are able to ensure the lifespan of WAX IS DEAD® products.

  • When applied correctly, WAX IS DEAD® can protect your paint from the following elements: 

    • UV rays 

    • Dirt & road debris  

    • Chemical stains and corrosion 

    • Acid rain  

    • Minor scratches  

    • Water spots 

  • Generally, once applied WAX IS DEAD® will take 24-48 hours to fully cure, depending on air temperature and humidity. During this time we keep your car safe in our workshop to ensure it seals properly.

  • A ceramic coating doesn’t mean you should skip washing. Regular cleaning prevents dirt buildup, maintains WAX IS DEAD®’s protective properties, and keeps your car’s shine intact.
